MTA Blue Line - "The New Blue"

Icon West, Inc. is proud to have contributed to the success of the MTA Blue Line modernization project, “The New Blue,” which received the 2021 CMAA Contractor’s Excellence Award in the Transportation category.

As one of the region’s most significant transit improvement projects, “The New Blue” involved the comprehensive upgrade of Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority’s oldest light rail line. Enhancements included track replacement, station improvements, system upgrades, and safety enhancements designed to increase reliability and improve the passenger experience.

The successful delivery of this complex, multi-phase infrastructure project required careful coordination, innovative problem-solving, and a commitment to minimizing disruptions within an active transit corridor. This award reflects the strength of the project team and Icon West’s expertise in delivering critical transportation infrastructure that supports regional mobility.
