HIGHLIGHTS: This project is to improve and remedy deficiencies in its health care facility components of the health care facility buildings at California Institution for Men and California Institution for Women.

DESCRIPTION: The project at CIM consists of 5 sub-projects, which include 3 sub-phases within each sub-project, while CIW consists of 4 sub-projects, which includes 4 sub-phases.

The scope of work includes, but not limited to new building Construction, addition and renovation, accessible path of travel and infrastructure upgrade. The new construction will be Slab-on grade with fully exterior structural concrete masonry unit walls and structural steel. In addition to upgrading the Medical Department of both CIM and CIW by providing additional infrastructures, backbones and floor space in various buildings, and installing necessary medical equipment. This Project is subject to OSHPD inspection Standards. The total square footage of the new construction at CIM and CIW is 27,798 sft.
